Personal Training in Danville, VA

Our principles and techniques thrive within the functional training realm. We define functional training as training in all planes of motion with full mobility and motor control to be prepared to face any and all challenges in sport and/or life. Our primary concern is to train safely, using proper instruction and impeccable technique. ​​​

Mission Statement

Trey Belcher Training, LLC, exists to create community through strength and conditioning. The goal is to accomplish this through intelligent, individualized training programs cultivated and executed in a fun, friendly environment. Movement quality and literacy are heavily emphasized. Our desire is to remove the restrictions that daily life has placed on your movement and have you feeling better and looking better than ever! We invest heavily in education to learn the best exercise science and techniques, so we can apply those principles to enhance our client experience.

Rehabilitation and Recovery ​

Often an overlooked part of training, rehab and recovery is a vital piece of the training plan. We employ several modalities to enhance and expedite the recovery process, such as NormaTec Recovery Sleeves, TriggerPoint foam rollers, Accumobility trigger point balls, and Perform Better R3 Percussive Massage Guns. We also have relationships with local physical therapists, massage therapists, and chiropractors to foster a team environment that creates a better customer experience.

Functional Movement Screening 

Each client is lead through a Functional Movement Screen to categorize movement through seven primal patterns. The Functional Movement Systems (FMS) provides a standard measurement that gives the strength and conditioning pro a blueprint for which movement patterns can be loaded and which patterns need some correction. The movement screen allows for better decision making to help progress fitness clients to their goals. The FMS forms the basis of all programming for movement awareness, literacy, and quality.

Nutrition Counseling ​

​Nutrition Counseling services are available.  Each nutrition plan is individualized based on client goals. For fat loss, we will focus on behavior changes that enhance long-term success. Together, we can calculate daily calorie and macronutrient (protein, carbohydrates, and fats) allowances based on activity levels.

We will also focus on sleep quality and stress management techniques to assist with nutrition success. For performance goals, we will focus on proper macronutrient ratios and ranges for strength or endurance athletes. In addition to the macronutrient focus, we will calculate proper hydration amounts. We use the latest science to help you look, feel, and perform your best!
